Heavy Wall Aluminum (1/8″ thick) Repair Made Easy

Braze Perfect is the perfect solution for heavy aluminum repair. Here’s a video and a series of images about Joining 1/8″ Thick Aluminum with Braze Perfect.

For this example, we attempt to create a “T” joint using 2 pieces of ?” thick aluminum. Like all repairs, we’ve fixed the piece in a vice to be sure that we’re not letting the entire piece of aluminum act like a heat sink – absorbing all the heat from the propane torch.

Any aluminum repair relies on getting the joint clean. We use a stainless steel brush to be sure that all the oxide has been removed.
